We may well be living in one of the most exciting times ever to be a Christian. I know, I know there is a war going on, Hillary is running for president, and our prophet of doom and gloom, Al Gore, is convinced that we are all going to drown with the melting of the polar ice cap. But in spite of all of this, our awesome God is at work in a mighty and powerful way.

If you did not read my last post and listen to the video, stop now and read and listen. A great harvest of souls is taking place in
Africa. Not only among Muslims, but other non believers are coming to Christ by the thousands. There is also an untold story of explosive growth in mainlandChina. “China has more than 15 million Christians in government-sanctioned churches but as many as 80 million in unregistered congregations branded by the communist regime as “illegal cults,” though estimates vary widely.” Read the rest of the article here. Much like the early Christians they are growing despite persecution and imprisonment.

At the same time God is speaking to and reach millions in our own country through at least one unusual spokesman, Bono of U2 fame. Listen to the following video, and especially his speech at the end to the National Prayer Breakfast.

What an awesome God we serve!

Now for a few personal notes. We made an offer on a new home last week and it was accepted, so we are now just waiting to close on both places. We are starting the packing process and hope to wrap all this up in the next couple of weeks. It will take a little adjustment leaving country life for the city again. Travel time will be cut from one hour to fifteen minutes one way to most of the places we go. Grass cutting will go from three and a half hours to thirty minutes.

Our Easter Drama is this coming Saturday and Sunday, so this whole week is filled with praise team practice in preparation for this special event. Jim and Barbie always do such a wonderful job on the script, and each actor chosen seems to just fit there part so well. We always have a number of visitors and we pray that all hearts will be touch once again with the power of the passion of Christ and the price He paid for our sin. If you are in our area plan to attend either the Saturday evening performance or the Sunday second worship period.

I also mentioned in an earlier post that there is talk of moving my present work position to California where our factory is located. So in the next few weeks I will return to sales and will be on the road at least a couple weeks each month.

I covet your prayers for all that is going on right now in our lives. God Bless! Keep your eyes open for those places in your world where you see God at work…join Him, He would love to have you.

  1. Bro’ Lee,

God is always at work, faithfully executing His redemptive plan. With our help or without it the work continues. This is an exciting time. When we read the news paper and watch the day’s events on the evening newscasts it often looks like evil is winning. But God is always at work. Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against the church and the march goes on in His power and might.

I rejoice in your ministry and thank our Father for the blessings He freely gives you.

Thanks for your kind comments at my blog.

    Grace to you,
    Royce Ogle

  2. Great thought. Great video. Great band. Great God.

  3. What was it that Jesus said about the stones crying out? With us or inspite of us, the Father will be heard. Thanks Royce and Mike for great thoughts.

  4. Glad to hear things are progressing. May God watch over you and your family throughout this transition!

  5. Good luck with the move. That can certainly be tough. Glad to hear that the timetable is working on on both houses.

  6. Thanks!,
